Early treatment:
Meet Makenna. She was referred by her dentist because of her underbite (bottom teeth come in front of her top teeth). This is a difficult problem to fix at age 14 (possibly requiring jaw surgery at age 16)…but Makenna was 5. Makenna only had baby teeth…then again, this is not a tooth problem…it is a jaw problem. She wore an expander and headgear (no braces) and was finished in about 8 months. Now that Makenna’s bite is right, the rest of her adult teeth should come in nice. Makenna might be lucky and not need further treatment (braces) when all her teeth come in by age 12 or 13…or if she or her parents choose treatment to fix any minor issue then, it will be much easier. Makenna is lucky her dentist realized you don’t “need all the teeth in to get braces”.

Invisalign treatment:
Meet Jeff. He didn’t like his teeth, they were crooked and he had a pretty substantial overbite (top teeth overlap the bottom teeth). Jeff wanted nice teeth but he didn’t want to wear braces. Luckily Dr. Rich was able to offer Jeff…Invisalign. After almost 2 years, Jeff has a great smile. Nice job Jeff!
